I do not want to operate ancestor research here, but I think a short information to this surname here can be suitable.
Before
I began to provide this webside, I had few thoughts about my surname.
I
haven't happened to meet a Namesake (other than relatives) yet.
People, they are called Schmidt, Müller or Fischer often meets
namesake.
Interesting
is as one finds seldom the surname nowadays. I have
investigated with the help of phone books on the Internet. In the
German-speaking area there is this name only in the Federal
Republic of Germany. This name can be found in five of the old
federal lands.

Map
(occurrence of the surname Reinhoff)
Whether
the name originates from an origin or whether he has repeatedly arisen
independently of each other one can see at the Crowd of the entries. One cannot
delimit it exactly, but the the latter possibility is more probable at more than
1000 entries. An origin is possible well at less than 200 entries. It is
relatively sure at only few dozen name bearer (as in our example).
Unfortunately,
I couldn't find facts about origin and meaning of the surname Reinhoff. Perhaps
somebody can give me a tip or information, I can use here.
